Happy New Year! I hope you have had at least a few days off work and school and everything else that could detract from rest. I have had a wonderful break thus far and I’m sorry I’ve been a little MIA with the WIAWs lately but I just haven’t had those posts in my mind like I do when I have a set schedule like school. New week one will be up and until then I thought you might need a few new recipes for your busy work week!
I was never one for overnight oats because I thought you were supposed to eat them cold and that to me was so incredibly unappealing. It wasn’t until recently that I found out a thing called a microwave could be used right before you want to eat and you can just prep ahead and BOOM- breakfast in a minute.
Get your mason jars ready- let’s do this!
I had just enough oats in my pantry to try 3 recipes I thought would be good and somehow all 3 worked! Top with anything your heart desires and tweak away but I think there is a recipe here for everyone!
I’m going to share my favorite one first! Chocolate Cherry Oats. This recipe is packed with antioxidants and fiber and tastes like dessert for breakfast- winning.
My second favorite is the Cinnamon Roll oats! The vanilla yogurt topping is like the icing on top and the pecans add some nice texture as well. If I did anything different the next time it would be to add some raisins too!
And lastly- lemon blueberry! This one is my sister’s favorite. I like this one but its definitely the least sweet and the most tangy but it’s so different than any other oats I’ve had so I think it deserves a try! I also added some granola on top for a little crunch and it made the oats SO good.
