Sup,
I’ve been caught in a whirlwind of school but I finally got a breather tonight so I thought I would compile some of the major things I’ve been noshing on.
First I’ve been spending more money on coffee, something I used to be eh on. Honestly I’ve really enjoyed someone making me a fresh americano or drip coffee and steaming my almond milk for me. I ate a biscotti with my coffee many times in Chicago and I’ve been grabbing some house made cookies from other coffee shops just because they have been sounding really good lately.
(La Colombe in Chi- my go to order is drip or americano with a steamed almond milk topper or also known as a cafe au lait)
Next up, cheese. Man have I just fell in love with cheese again! I used to be very lactose intolerant but I sort of trained myself out of it by slowly incorporating Siggis by the spoonful each day and increasing the amount until I could handle a normal serving of dairy without discomfort. It has been glorious.
Next, random food. I’ve come to accept and enjoy any food someone cooks for me. Sometimes you can’t choose where it comes from or what it tastes like but someone made it for you and you are usually enjoying it in nice company so I’ve really been enjoying that.
(Fajita night with some of my best friends last Friday- un-pictured several glasses of wine too)
This QUICHE. I made it just by glancing at a basic recipe and then seeing what I had in my fridge.
More things I’ve been spending money on. Beverages like this AMAZING matcha latte made with house made almond milk. Seriously I wish I could have this every day. Matchabar you rock. I’ve been really excited to explore LA more. I haven’t done that enough and it has been really fun to stop along the way to the places where my commitments are like Hollywood, DTLA, and my newest favorite place Echo Park to grab something new.
(Iced Matcha Latte)
Hope you guys have been eating well too! I’m getting back into my normal workout routine and just eating all the things that sound good. Have the best rest of your week!
training yourself out of lactose intolerance?? omg I’m intrigued – i need to do this lol
I’m totally learning to love whatever it is that someone has cooked for me, lovingly!
I love that! It’s a wonderful freedom!
