Since my last post I have been recovering from this horrid sickness and some yucky knee trouble so that’s the not so good part. The good part is that I have some yum meal inspiration for you!
Whether my eats posts inspire you to make something yourself or to go out and get that darn quesadilla and margarita I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!
(also shared was a fresh pupusa with pork, cheese, and beans with an aggressive amount of sauces to choose from- I loved the avocado + sour cream)
I have been drinking SO much iced coffee lately. There has been a huge heat wave in LA and the only time hot coffee sounds good is right in the am, besides that, 1/2 caf or decaf iced americano + whole milk and a splash of half and half please! I have been going to Whole Foods because they are really strong and pretty cheap- its like 2.50 for this and I can add my own milk and half and half for free!! hello!!
Also on the snack game have been Perfect Bars. This is my favorite flavor! It is also reasonable in the calorie rage for a snack. Some of their bars are so dense I’m not hungry for my meal which is not the goal of my snack. I don’t care about calories but a snack for me usually is around 200 when I really think about it so this just fits really nicely.
Meals at home have been pancakes or some other carb for breakfast like some toast + PB or butter.
I also had a sandwich from our local German Deli that my dad picked up for the sick kid last weekend. Turkey, cheese, and other stuff on rye.
I got much better in time to bartend for my best friends family’s party at their house Saturday. Sarah and I had a freaking blast making drinks and chatting away while also drinking a few cocktails ourselves.
I get a lot of questions on my outfits on Instagram so I’m going to start snapping some photos and putting them on here. I wore this to Sarah’s house. Loft romper from last year(here is a similar off the shoulder one) , stitch fix shoes, Madewell bracelets (1, 2) , and CND regular nail polish. So comfy and easy!
Can we just admire this gorgeous spread! Favorite part was the grilled veggies + the bread and herb butter- UGH.
Father’s Day was shared quesadillas + margs all around. This day is hard for us because we all really miss my Otta and just lost my Uncle Roland- 2 big father figures. We made sure to tell lots of funny stories about them!
If I wasn’t with friends this week or family I was writing my thesis at home or at coffee shops. I brought lunch with me to the coffee shop and also had the same for lunch another day. I’ve really been into turkey, grass fed cheddar from TJs, and the 12 grain crackers from TJs + some veggie + some fruit and something sweet.
I also had Mexican again with the camp directors after Camp Rally night this week on Tuesday. I had pasta before I left but I was ready for a marg and 1 taco after the night!
Lastly some muffins with Heather and lunch with oma!
Hope you enjoyed!
